The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts increased rainfall, isolated hailstorms, and mountain snowfall in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various parts of Pakistan from Monday evening/night through Tuesday.

As per the synoptic situation, a westerly wind pattern dominates the western and upper regions of Pakistan, with indications of strengthening over the next 12 hours.

Given these circumstances, increased rainfall accompanied by wind, thunderstorms, and snowfall in mountainous areas is anticipated in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, Islamabad, upper Punjab, and northern Balochistan from Monday evening or night through Tuesday. Moderate to heavy rain coupled with snowfall in hilly regions such as Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galyat, and the Potohar areas is probable. Additionally, isolated hailstorms are expected during this forecast period.

Heavy rain or snowfall could result in road closures in various areas, including Murree, Galyat, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kalam, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, Hunza, Skardu, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Poonch, and Havellian, from Monday to Tuesday. The potential for landslides in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan is also a concern during this time.

On Tuesday, Islamabad is expected to have minimum temperatures ranging from 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, while on Wednesday, temperatures may range between 9 and 11 degrees Celsius.

Rawalpindi is expected to have minimum temperatures of 10–12 °C on Tuesday and 9–11 °C on Wednesday.
