The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts chilly and dry conditions for Lahore and much of Punjab, with freezing temperatures expected in Murree and Galyat from Wednesday evening or night through the following two days.
The synoptic situation indicates the dominance of continental air across most of Pakistan. Consequently, Murree, Galyat, and surrounding areas are expected to experience extremely cold weather on Wednesday evening and night, Thursday, and Friday. Lahore and much of Punjab are likely to have cold and dry conditions. Shallow fog is expected in some areas of Narowal, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, and Bahawalpur during the morning and night hours.
Murree is expected to have minimum temperatures ranging from 0 to 2 degrees Celsius on both Thursday and Friday.
Lahore is forecast to experience minimum temperatures ranging from 8 to 10 degrees Celsius on Thursday and from 9 to 11 degrees Celsius on Friday.
During the past 24 hours, Lahore and most areas of Punjab experienced cold and dry weather, while Murree, Galyat, and nearby regions had freezing conditions. Shallow fog was observed in some parts of Punjab during the night and morning hours.
Murree was the coldest location in the province, with temperatures dropping to freezing. The morning relative humidity was recorded at 58 percent.
In Lahore, the minimum temperature was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius, with a morning relative humidity of 82 percent.
