PESHAWAR: Chairman National Democratic Movement (NDM) Mohsin Dawar has submitted a request to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for re-election in National Assembly Constituency NA-40 North Waziristan by declaring the elections of his constituency null and void.

In the application submitted to the ECP, Mohsin Dawar took the position that the notification of success from NA-40 should be stopped.

Mohsin Dawar said that during the general elections held on February 8, militants stole polling materials from some polling stations in his constituency, and miscreants blew up two polling stations with bombs on polling day.

He said that at 14 polling stations polling materials were taken away from the election staff and these persons wrote zero votes on Form 45 while miscreants also set the polling materials on fire at some places.
