QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti ordered the Chief Secretary to dismiss 2,000 absentee teachers in the province.
In a high-level meeting held regarding the education department, the chief minister directed the chief secretary of Balochistan to fire the absent teachers and submit a report within a month.
The chief minister also directed that there will be no interference in the education department, appoint district education officers on merit.
The Chief Minister said that Rs 5,625 are being spent per child per month in Balochistan, about Rs 72,000 are spent per child per year.
