
CTD arrests 22 suspected militants from Punjab
LAHORE: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab arrested 22 terrorists while conducting operations in different cities of Punjab.
CTD spokesperson said, two terrorists who provided financial support to Al-Qaeda were arrested from Lahore, besides one terrorist of Tehreek-e-Taliban-e-Pakistan(TTP) trained from Afghanistan was arrested from Bahawalpur.
The CTD spokesperson said that the terrorists were arrested from Lahore, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Bahawalnagar, and Rawalpindi while some terrorists were arrested from Chiniot, Pakpattan, Khanewal, Chakwal, Attock, and Sargodha.

Earlier, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) raided the medical lab in Iqbal Town of Lahore and arrested the suspects involved in human trafficking and visa fraud.
Director FIA Sarfaraz Khan Virk said that three suspects involved in human trafficking and visa fraud have been arrested and 130 passports and other documents have also been recovered from the possession of the accused.
The accused used to extort huge amounts of money from citizens in the name of employment abroad and also took passports from citizens under the guise of medical treatment.
