Eid ul-Fitr 2024 Moon Sighting: Pakistanis are set to observe the sighting of the Shawwal moon today on April 9 to celebrate Eidul-Fitr on April 10.

Ruet-e-Hilal, Pakistan’s premier moon seeing body, has scheduled a meeting to watch the Shawwal crescent. Abdul Khabir Azad will preside over the meeting of the central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, as well as zonal committees in province capitals.

Ahead of moon sighting, there is great excitement and anticipation among people, especially among youngsters as Eid is a time of celebration, joy, and togetherness, marked by special prayers, mouth-watering foods, gifts, and spending time with family and friends.

In rare case, if Shawwal crescent is not sighted, Eid will be held on April 11, Thursday, with total 30 fasts.
