NADRA (FRC) Fees Update in Pakistan for April 2024
NADRA has updated the fee for Family Registration Certificates (FRC) in Pakistan...
In Pakistan, it’s crucial for citizens to renew their Smart National Identity Cards (SNIC) well before or immediately after expiry to access various government and other essential services.
The National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) serves as the official body for issuing and renewing ID cards, which are indispensable for everyday activities such as opening bank accounts, property transactions, investments, and job applications.
Possessing an expired ID card renders individuals ineligible for these services and job opportunities. The unique 13-digit identification number associated with the SNIC is universally recognized across the country, serving as a primary requirement for obtaining documents like licenses, National Tax Numbers (NTN), bank accounts, passports, and cellular connections.
As of April 2024, there have been no changes to the renewal fees for Smart National Identity Cards (SNIC). The standard renewal fee for SNIC remains at Rs 750, while an urgent renewal entails a fee of Rs 1,500. For those seeking executive renewal services, the fee stands at Rs 2,500.
SNICs are issued with a validity of 10 years, and the timelines for normal, urgent, or executive category renewals commence upon approval by Nadra. It’s important to note that the fees mentioned above do not include delivery charges.
Ensuring timely renewal of Smart National Identity Cards is essential for Pakistani citizens to maintain access to vital services and opportunities provided by the government and other institutions.
