Dubai Prepares for Summer Vacation 2024 Amidst Rising Temperatures!
Dubai, along with other states in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) such as Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, recently experienced historic rainfall, causing disruptions in educational and airport activities. Despite this, the region is now facing increasing temperatures as the summer season approaches its peak.
Weather forecasts indicate that the average temperature in the UAE will remain at 40°C or above, with the possibility of even higher-than-normal temperatures due to the impacts of climate change affecting the globe.
In response to the extreme heat and to safeguard students and educational institutions from heatwaves, authorities traditionally announce summer vacations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other regions every year.
The anticipated summer holidays for the year 2024 are set to begin on June 29 (Saturday) in Dubai and across the UAE. These vacations are expected to extend until late August 2024, with schools resuming their regular activities in September 2024.
During the month of June 2024, students are likely to enjoy approximately five holidays in celebration of Eidul Adha. However, the final decision regarding the schedule of summer vacations in 2024 and Eid holidays rests with the authorities.
For schools in Dubai, the summer vacations are also projected to commence from June 29 and continue until late August 2024. This proactive measure aims to ensure the well-being and safety of students during the intense summer heat in the region.
