‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 new teaser unveils exciting confirmations for fans
Netflix has released a new teaser for Stranger Things Season 5 as part of the annual Stranger Things Day, which falls on November 6—marking the day Will Byers (played by Noah Schnapp) disappeared in Hawkins, Indiana.
The teaser offers exciting confirmations for fans, including the highly anticipated premiere of the final season in 2025. Despite fears of delays due to the Hollywood strikes, fans can now rest assured that the remaining episodes will be airing next year.
A time jump is also confirmed for the upcoming season. Ross Duffer, co-creator of the series alongside his brother Matt, had mentioned in 2022 that a time jump would be inevitable. “Ideally, we’d have shot [seasons 4 and 5] back to back, but there was just no feasible way to do that,” Ross said in a TV Line interview. Season 5 will begin in the fall of 1987, following the events of Season 4, which started in March 1986.
Max (Sadie Sink), who was left in a coma at the end of Season 4, teased her character’s journey, saying, “They love having me run. That’s all I’ll say.” The first episode of the final season is titled “The Crawl,” with the second episode’s title starting with “The Vanishing of…”
Along with the returning cast, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, and Millie Bobby Brown, new faces like Linda Hamilton and Nell Fisher will join the final season. As Jamie Campbell Bower (Vecna) teased, “If season 4 was big, season 5 definitely feels bigger.”
