WASHINGTON: The United States (US) has resumed the delivery of artillery shells and mobile missile launchers to Ukraine, strengthening Kyiv’s defense capabilities against Russian forces.

According to American media reports, the supply of air defense missiles and other military equipment to Ukraine was temporarily halted earlier this month. However, sources now confirm that Washington has reinstated the provision of key military aid, including artillery rounds and mobile missile systems.

The renewed support comes amid escalating tensions on the frontlines and is seen as part of continued Western efforts to bolster Ukraine’s resistance in the ongoing conflict with Russia.

Donald Trump stated that he does not know who made the decision to halt military aid to Ukraine earlier this month. His remarks come amid renewed U.S. arms supplies to Ukraine, including artillery shells and mobile missile launchers.

In a separate statement, Trump claimed that a ceasefire in Gaza is “very close.” Speaking to reporters, he said there is a strong possibility that a truce could be reached this week or by next week, signaling renewed diplomatic efforts to end the months-long conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Trump’s comments come at a time when global attention remains sharply focused on both the Russia-Ukraine war and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
