Most of us regularly experience bloating. Bloating can make us feel uneasy and like we’ve overindulged depending on a number of reasons. Bloating frequently results from the body holding onto gas. Yoga asanas can help the body feel better by releasing this trapped gas. To relieve the trapped gas and treat bloating, however, we frequently reach for fizzy beverages. Bloating can occur for a variety of reasons, including eating large meals or foods high in fibre, stress-related water retention, sleep deprivation, menstrual cycle, etc. Anshuka Parwani listed a few potential causes of bloating, explaining that it is essentially trapped gas in the stomach and intestines.

The benefits of practising yoga to reduce bloating were also discussed in a piece written by Anshuka, a yoga instructor to several Bollywood celebs, including Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor. She said, “Most of us frequently tend to go out for carbonated drinks as a treatment to ease the gas. However, the following yoga asanas will assist you in lessening bloating and releasing trapped gas. Additionally strengthening your core and lessening the frequency of bloating, these positions will help. Anshuka wrote out five yoga poses that should be practised to let go of trapped gas and reduce bloating.
