Pakistan’s Representative to the United Nations, Maleeha Lodhi said that its important to end the human cruelty in Kashmir.

While addressing to the General assembly of United Nations, Maleeha questioned the ability of the organization on ignoring such movements.

Indian barbarism in the Kashmir valley is a proof that the movements aren’t being followed.

Indian brutality has worsened since August 15.

United Nations Security Council will have to play its role to end the violations. The conflict cleary shows India’s occupation in the valley, she added.

Maleeha Lodhi urged UNSC to lift the curfew and lockdown from Indian occupied Kashmir.

Modi-led government should release all the innocent Kashmiris who were held and should lift the communications blackout.

She stressed over the human rights violations and urged United Nations Security Council to restore human rights in Kashmir.

Yesterday, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said third party mediation is the only option to resolve the festering Kashmir dispute.

In an interview, he said the officials have reportedly included Kashmir issue in the agenda of their expected meeting with Indian leaders, which is a welcoming development.

The Foreign Minister said India will have to act upon the UN resolutions and international laws.

He urged New Delhi to immediately lift curfew and give right to live to the people of Occupied Kashmir.

He said children are unable to go to their schools and patients are deprived of medical facilities there.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said facts about the real situation in the held valley are not coming out due to communications blackout there.

He appreciated the role of international media and international human rights organizations in highlighting the Kashmir issue.
