Prime Minister Imran Khan reached Pakistan after his successful one-day visit to Iran.
According to the details, PM Imran was accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Special Assistant Zulfi Bukhari on his return.
A day earlier, while addressing a press conference along with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, PM said that Pakistan aims at reducing tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia as Pakistan does not want any other conflict in the region.
Saudi Arabia is one of the closest friends of Pakistan and Riyadh has always helped us in all times of need, said PM.
He said Pakistan will play the role of facilitator rather mediator in sorting out the differences between the two brotherly Muslim countries.
President Hassan Rouhani said Iran and Pakistan are brotherly Muslim countries and have deep rooted friendship.
He said in our meeting today, we discussed to enhance deep strategic relations between the two brotherly countries.
He expressed hope that Pakistan and Iran could work together for regional peace.
Prime Minister Imran Khan held wide-ranging consultations with President Rouhani.
This was the second meeting between the two leaders within one month.
That was Imran Khan’s second visit to Iran this year.
Be clear that during the meeting, issues of mutual interest and security issues were discussed.
Imran Khan, after his visit to Iran will fly to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, sources said.
