COAS extension: #RespectStateInstitutions is trending on Twitter
Supreme Court of Pakistan has suspended the notification extending Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s tenure for another three years.
Social media users are sharing their views on the matter and demand respect of all institutions.
Respect whether it's executive or judiciary or army. They should hold the hands of each other for the betterment of this country. #respectstateinstitutions

Extension in the tenure of #COAS is not against the law. Who does not know that India has imposed an undeclared war because of the #Kashmir issue? In the present security situation general #Bajwa is the best choice for Pakistan. #RespectStateInstitutions pic.twitter.com/2X3sII7V6f

Supreme Court of Pakistan clarified that it had not taken suo-motu notice and media misunderstood the whole scenario.
“We are hearing the case on the petition filed by Raiz Riahi”, said the top judge.
Earlier on August 19, Prime Minister Imran Khan had approved the extension of General Qamar Javed Bajwa as the Chief of Army Staff.
Back in August Prime Minister’s office issued a notification citing that, General Qamar Javed Bajwa is appointed Chief of Army Staff for another term of three years from the date of completion of current tenure.
