The Ministry of Law has sent the summary to the Prime Minister Imran Khan for the appointment of Justice Gulzar Ahmed as next chief justice of Pakistan.
According to the details, Justice Gulzar Ahmad will take the charge as new Chief Justice of Pakistan after the retirement of Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa.
The summary has been sent to the Prime Minister House, the Prime Minister will send the summary to the President Arif Alavi for approval.
Official notification of the appointment of Justice Gulzar will be issued after approval by President Dr Arif Alvi.
Justice Gulzar Ahmad was born on February 2, 1957, in Karachi, in the family of distinguished Lawyer of Karachi Noor Muhammed.
He received his early education from Gulistan School of Karachi, BA degree from Government National College and LLB degree from SM Law College Karachi.
