Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan has said that the Punjab government generated revenue worth Rs75 billion under Chief Minister Usman Buzdar’s leadership.
The information minister said this while addressing a press conference in Lahore on Tuesday.
Chohan said the Punjab chief minister has never been involved in corruption or money laundering.
He said that during the first year of Buzdar’s tenure, the construction of nine hospitals was carried out while doctors were appointed in various government hospitals.
He said that the agriculture sector witnessed a drastic improvement as the provincial CM took effective steps to boost its productivity.
He said foreign investors are keen to invest in the country.
He remarked, “Keeping in view his efforts to bring change in the province, the opposition cannot compete with Usman Buzdar.”
He said that the PTI government approved a massive budget for South Punjab. Besides, he said several policies were also approved, including water, education, labour, industries and other sectors.
He said that the Moodys also accepted in its report that Pakistan’s economy has improved.
He maintained that 36 bills were passed by the provincial government during one year which is a record.
Chohan said that the previous government had given a debt of Rs21 billion to the present government.
He said that during the tenure of Shehbaz Sharif, the Punjab government had set up eight camp offices.
The information minister pointed out that the PML-N and PPP legislatures had occupied government land illegally and were involved in money laundering on a massive scale.
He said the country’s economy is going in a right direction due to the effective policies of the present government.
To a question on Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Fayyazul Hassan Chohan said the JUI-F chief has used all options to damage the credibility of the government but he lost.
