Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Pakistan, Gen Nadeem Raza has called on Saudi King Salman in Riyadh on Tuesday.
According to the details, both the dignitaries have reviewed the close relations between the two countries and ways to enhance cooperation, especially in the military field during the meeting in Riyadh.
They have also reviewed prospects of military cooperation and ways to support and enhance them,” Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. Furthermore, matters of mutual interest were also discussed.
General Nadeem Raza assumes charge as CJCSC
Earlier on Monday, CJCSC General Nadeem Raza , also met with Saudi Chief of General Staff Gen. Fayyadh bin Hamid Al-Ruwaili.
During the meeting Senior military officials from the two countries were are also present and delegation level talks held between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Earlier this month the Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi visited Saudi Arabia and called on his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
They both will exchange views on peace and security situation in the region.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said he had a constructive and positive meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
In a tweet, he said he reiterated efforts to deescalate tensions to the President which he supports.
The Foreign Minister said we commit to exercise every diplomatic effort to achieve regional security.
However, Pakistan soil will not be used for war, he said.
