KARACHI: The spokesperson of Sindh Government, Murtaza Wahab spoke to the media on Wednesday and said, those hatching conspiracies to create rifts between the federal and provincial governments will be defeated.

Provincial government spokesperson also said that the new IG will be appointed after discussions with the Centre.

According to the details, Murtaza Wahab  said the Sindh government was not satisfied with the performance of IG Kaleem Imam.

He also said that  the provincial government proposed three names for the new police chief but the matter could not be resolved as the prime minister was on a visit abroad.

“We hope the commitment of the PM with Sindh CM will be honoured,” The provincial spokesperson said.

Earlier on Jan 16, Sindh government spokesperson Barrister Murtaza Wahab revealed that Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had apprised Prime Minister Imran Khan about the reservations the provincial cabinet had against Inspector General Kaleem Imam for maintaining his rank.

During a press conference in Karachi, Murtaza Wahab asserted that the chief minister told the premier that the cabinet had no confidence in the IG.

The process of his removal should initiate as the ruling party in Sindh had face criticism.

PM Imran Khan meets IG Sindh Kaleem Imam

Earlier on today (January 28), Prime Minister Imran Khan met with Inspector General Sindh Police Kaleem Imam, Bol News reported today.

According to the details, during the meeting, security as well as other important matters of the province discussed in the meeting.

Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan summoned Inspector General Sindh Dr. Kaleem Imam after differences between Sindh government and police grew.
