President Dr. Arif Alvi surprisingly visited to multiple mosques in Rawalpindi to look over preparations for Taraweeh prayers in the city.
The President visited Jamia Mosque on Murree Road, Jamia Mosque Ghousia Saddar, Mosti Mosque on Liaquat Road and Jamia Mosque Gulshan Dad Khan.
He reviewed whether SOPs issued by the government for precautions to fight against COVID-19 pandemic were followed or not.
President Alvi expressed his satisfaction after seeing social distancing being practiced during prayers.
Dr. Arif ALvi stressed to strictly follow precautionary measures to ensure safety during the deadly virus outbreak.
He has also directed the Imams of the mosques to convince the Nimazees above 50-years to offer their prayers at homes.
President Arif Alvi also examined the necessary arrangements being adopted by the mosques’ administration during the congregational and Taraweeh payers.
