A special prayer Salaat ut Tauba to seek Allah’s forgiveness to be offered today at Aiwan-e-Sadr after Friday prayers.

Radio Pakistan reported that the prayer will be offered with extremely limited gathering.

Offering of prayer Salaat ut Tauba to seek Allah’s forgiveness, was decided during a meeting of President Dr Arif Alvi with a delegation of Council of Islamic Ideology.

The delegation was led by Dr. Qibla Ayaz in the federal capital Islamabad.

The meeting further decided that Minister for Religious Affairs Dr. Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, will deliver Jumma Khutba, which will be telecast Live.

Speaking on the occasion, Ulema gave various suggestions to deal with the prevailing situation and urged people to resort to Almighty Allah to seek His blessing by offering two rakaat Salaat-u-Tauba at their homes today.

They advised the people to seek forgiveness and repentance in individual prayers, which can help save the humanity from the current catastrophe.

Speaking on the occasion, President Dr. Arif Alvi urged the Ulema to play their due role in creating awareness among masses about the preventive measures against Coronavirus.

Let it be known that The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 4,601 on Friday after new infections were confirmed in the country.

The worldwide number of officially confirmed fatalities from the novel coronavirus now stands at above 90,000, according to British News Agency Reuters.

More than 1.5 million declared cases have been registered in 213 countries and territories since the epidemic first emerged in China in December. Of these cases, at least 253,000 are now considered recovered.
