Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui condemned Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson’s hateful remarks on PM Imran Khan’s proposal to India for tackling coronavirus.
To reduce the impact of Covid-19 on India’s below the poverty line people, PM Khan had proposed suggestions to India in the light of Pakistan’s successful experience. But in response, the Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson passed negative remarks and tried to pick on PM Khan.
The attitude of the India Foreign Ministry spokesman was unprofessional and attempted to score points on such a serious issue, said Aisha Farooqui. She went on to say, this is a serious matter, millions of people’s lives are being affected by this virus in the sub-continent.
Imran Khan’s proposal came in the wake of a study by a well-known American university’s department, said the spokesperson.
Aisha Farooqui said that proposal was about the impact of Covid-19 on Indians, and the provision of food and cash to those who are affected by the lockdown.
The hateful statement of the Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman contradicts their leadership, said Farooqui.
