Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi,on Saturday released a video of Uzair’s friend Habib Jan Baloch.

Ali Zaidi, while tweeting the video, said that crime and politics have gone hand in hand and Asif Ali Zardari and his followers have been exposed by Habib Jan.

Habib Jan Baloch, a close companion of Uzair Baloch, in the video has said that after Layari operation of 2012, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) again approached Uzair Baloch and paid him Rs50 million in cash.

Habib added that after this Uzair Baloch rejoined PPP.

Habib Jan Baloch further said that the PPP government after coming under pressure distanced itself from Uzair Baloch. While responding to a question, he said that the group involved transfers of police officials of up to rank of the IGP.

Earlier Syed Ali Haider Zaidi revealed that the Sindh government meddled with Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report on Lyari gang war kingpin Uzair Baloch to exclude certain names.

Ali Zaidi appealed Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed to take suo motu notice of Uzair Baloch Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report.

He was addressing a joint press conference in Islamabad with Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz.

He said the JIT report did not have important information and said that it has been ‘tampered’ by the Sindh government.

The minister said the report released by the provincial government raises serious questions as on each page of the JIT report all the four people (from the federal government) have signed but no one from the Sindh government.

Earlier The Sindh government has made public the joint investigation reports (JITs) of Lyari gang war leader Uzair Baloch, Baldia Factory tragedy and Nisar Morai.

JIT report of Lyari gang war leader Uzair Baloch consists of 36 pages which include the names of dozens of accomplices including Ahkhana, Habib Jan, Habib Hassan, Saif Ali, Noor Mohammad.

According to the report, Uzair Baloch has confessed to killing 198 people. Uzair Baloch killed all the people in the linguistic and gang war conflict while Uzair Baloch deployed 7 SHOs on the basis of influence. Uzair Baloch appointed Iqbal Bhatti as TPO deployed to Lyari and in 2019 Muhammad Raisi was appointed as the administrator of Lyari. The accused is involved in the murder of several policemen and Rangers personnel.

The JIT report states that despite the accused fleeing abroad, millions of rupees are being sent to Dubai every month, buying various weapons between 2008 and 2013, and also revealing illegal assets in Pakistan and Dubai.

Uzair Baloch’s JIT also mentions his 16-member staff who were, directly and indirectly, involved in the gang war. Uzair Baloch was arrested in 2006 from Chohar Jamali in Thatta area.

Uzair Baloch admitted to sending more than 10 operatives to Iran and other countries, appointing officers to help gangsters and transferring his master Tajo to Dubai and then Africa during the operation.

Uzair Baloch also confessed to buying weapons from Lala Tawakal and Saleem Pathan and giving them to his accomplices and taking birth certificates, identity cards and passports from Iran.

Uzair Baloch confessed to giving arms at his accomplices after 2009. On the instructions of Uzair Baloch, gangsters used to loot trucks and after selling trucks, a share of Rs 1.5 million was given.

The JIT report made other recommendations, including prosecuting Uzair Baloch for espionage under the Army Act. Uzair Baloch spied for foreigners, violating the Official Secrets Act.
