A meeting of the Federal Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan in which important appointments and transfers were approved.

Sources said that Usman Nasir has been approved to be appointed as MD Pakistan Software Export Board while the Cabinet has approved to hire Harvartho Hussain Chaudhry Company for the audit of Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

The cabinet meeting also approved a change in the rules for MPs’ development schemes and referred the Islamabad Marghazar Zoo to the Ministry of Climate Change.

On the other hand, the cabinet condemned the attack on the Karachi Stock Exchange two days ago and praised the timely action of the police, Rangers and security guards.

The Cabinet also appreciated the courage and bravery of the martyrs of the Karachi attack.

The meeting considered party affairs including the situation of Coronavirus while considering the economic and political situation of the country.

A 12-point agenda was issued in the cabinet meeting while the issue of issuance of prohibited arms licenses by the Interior Ministry has been included in the agenda.

Sources said that the decision to increase the pension of EOBI pensioners has taken by the cabinet while the Federal Medical Teaching Institute briefed the National Health Reforms Task Force.
