Prime Minister Imran Khan has called on UN General Assembly President Volkan Bozkır to give Kashmiris the right to self-determination.
According to details, a statement was issued on the meeting of the newly elected President of the United Nations General Assembly Volkan Bozkır with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The statement said the prime minister briefed Volkan Bozkır on the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The president of the UNGA wrote on Twitter, “I called on the Prime Minister of Pakistan, HE Imran Khan, during my visit to Islamabad as the President-Elect of the 75th Session of the UN General Assembly. We had fruitful exchange of views regarding the issues on the agenda of the 75th Session of the General Assembly.”
The Prime Minister congratulated Volkan Bozkır on his election as the 75th President of the General Assembly. Issues related to climate change were also discussed on the occasion.
Informing Volkan Bozkır about the situation in Occupied Kashmir, Imran Khan said that the Kashmir dispute has been on the agenda of the UN Security Council for seven decades.
He also apprised Volkan Bozkır of the violation of human rights of Kashmiris and said that India was trying to change the geographical position of occupied Kashmir.
The Prime Minister said that the United Nations should play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute. UN Security Council resolutions promise to give Kashmiris the right to self-determination.
Referring to the coronavirus, the Prime Minister said that the government of Pakistan has provided a package of 8 billion for the poor and needy. This is the biggest relief from any government in the history of Pakistan.
Imran Khan said that the focus of the government of Pakistan was to save the lives of the people and revive the economy.
