ATC extends interim bail of Captain retired Safdar in NAB attack case

Lahore Anti Terrorism Court extended interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader, Captain retired Safdar Awan till September 16 in a case related to clashes outside National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) office.

The plea was taken up by ATC Judge Arshad Hussain Bhutta. After hearing the arguments from both sides, the court extended the interim bail of Safdar Awan till September 16.

On August 12, chaos was witnessed outside the NAB office after PML-N workers clashed with police personnel ahead of party leader Maryam Nawaz’s appearance before the bureau.

Earlier ATC granted pre-arrest bail to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader Rana Sanaullah in a case of attacking a police team outside the office of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)  when Maryam Nawaz, the PML-N vice president, came to appear in an inquiry into the land allotment.

Let it be known that the NAB Lahore has summoned PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah for September 10 in an investigation against him regarding assets beyond known source of income.
