According to the DG ISPR, Pakistan Armed Forces troops have attended the inaugural ceremony of the multinational military exercise, Kavkaz, in Russia today.

The Kavkaz 2020 will be held in Russia’s region Astrakhan from September 21 to 26.

Kavkaz training exercises will include different military and training demonstrations. This event will allow all the armed forces from around the globe to demonstrate their advanced military hardware and technology.

Other countries in the region have also been invited to participate in the Kavkaz exercises. More than 80,000 personnel are expected to participate in the Kavkaz Strategic Command exercises.

It is pertinent to mention here that India fled at the last minute before participating in military exercises. Bollywood warriors refrain from practical demonstrations of military prowess, said DG ISPR.

India’s decision has been called childish and narrow-minded by the Defence experts. However, India was fully prepared to participate in these exercises by August. But due to the Indo-China border dispute, India had decided to retreat.

According to the DG ISPR, the military exercise participants will demonstrate mutual experience and capabilities. As well as, there will be an opportunity to test the response of the troops to various challenges.
