Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will make a quick foray into Pakistani politics as he will virtually join All Parties Conference (APC) to be held in Islamabad today.

According to the details, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supremo Nawaz Sharif will attend the upcoming  (APC) via video link.

Spokesperson of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Maryam Aurangzeb said that the address of the ex-premier is scheduled at 1:00 pm.

Senior party leaders confirmed after Pakistan Peoples Party PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari disclosed on his social media handle that he had called the PML-N founder to invite him to virtually attend the upcoming opposition parties’ conference.

Bilawal said on his Twitter handle that he had spoken to PML-N supreme leader Sharif to inquire after his health. He said that he had invited Sharif to virtually attend the moot to be hosted by the PPP on September 20 (Sunday).

Nawaz’s addresses to the APC will be his foray into Pakistani politics after arriving in London in November 2019 for medical treatment.

The address of Nawaz Sharif will be streamed live on social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube.

JI to stay away from APC

Jamaat-e-Islami has decided to stay away from opposition parties’ All Parties Conference (APC), describing its agenda as vague and objectives as doubtful.

JI ameer Senator Sirajul Haq while addressing a seminar, said “The JI could not sit with those parties which are equally responsible with the PTI for economic and social destruction of the country, and dubiously supported the legislative agenda of PTI to push the country in the slavery of colonial powers.”

Sirajul Haq expressed doubts on the real objective of today’s APC, saying the meeting could not come forward with a clear and solid strategy to bring the country out of crises.

However, he said, holding the APC was the democratic right of the opposition parties and one could only hope it would make some positive impact on future politics.

He said the opposition parties gathering must present their program before the masses aimed at ridding them from the problems and crises they faced.

He said two major opposition parties tactfully backed the government proposed FATF-related legislation in the National Assembly and the Senate despite knowing that the laws would push the country in the permanent slavery of the global capitalists and colonial powers.

Health Of Nawaz Sharif At Risk

It is pertinent to mention here that President Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Leader of Opposition Shehbaz Sharif has said that the return of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, not possible unless doctors allow.

In a recent statement, President Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Leader of Opposition Shehbaz Sharif said it was not possible for his brother to return to the country without getting treatment.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the problem was not of the return of the former prime minister but was his health.

In addition to this, he said that the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had claimed that Kulsoom Nawaz, wife of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz supremo, was not ill but she passed away asking if it was possible to repair the damage done by the allegation.

Shehbaz Sharif reminded that doctors have said that traveling for Nawaz Sharif in the current situation can be “life-threatening”.
