Owing to a shortage of gas in the system, CNG Stations will remain closed for three 3 across Sindh during the current week.

A spokesperson for Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), Safdar Hussain said that in the ongoing week; Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, gas supply to the CNG stations across Sindh will remain suspended.

The spokesperson added that the decision has been made to meet the domestic user’s gas demand.

Hussain suggested that CNG stations’ owners should use Liquefied Natural Gas (LPG) as the situation will worsen in the winter season.

“SSGC is already facing shortages in supply from different fields even though the winter has not started. It would be next to impossible to maintain supply to CNG stations during four months of the winter season,” said Safdar Hussain.

CNG Stations in Sindh will remain shut throughout winters, SSG official said earlier this week.

According to SSG officials, amid gas shortage, a plan has been prepared to close down all CNG stations from October 15, 2020.

“Only those pumps supplying LNG will remain open,” they added.

The officials also said that the CNG Pumps will resume operations after four months, in February 2020.

“Pumps are now being shifted to LNG, rather than locally available gas supplies,” said pump owners.
