Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan said that the Punjab government would provide water and masks to all the participants in the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Gujranwala Jalsa.

Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan said in his statement that the government did not intend to stop the convoys of Begum Safdar Awan, Bilawal and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The provincial minister said that the containers have been set up for the convenience and security of the opposition.

Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan said that Begum Safdar Awan should not mislead the people by accusing the government of creating obstacles.

He said that the government had no intention to stop Begum Safdar Awan from attending the Jalsa.

Note that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of opposition against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, is demonstrating its first political power in Gujranwala, Punjab, today.

This alliance of 11 opposition parties includes the main opposition parties Pakistan Muslim League (N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) and other parties are vehement to topple the government.

Preparations have been completed for the first PDM meeting to be held at Jinnah Park in Gujranwala and workers of opposition parties are arriving at the venue.

Simultaneously, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will arrive in convoys with workers.
