Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar on information, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has once again lashed out at Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) for holding rallies despite the pandemic.

According to the details, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan took to her Twitter and said that the PPP government, on one hand, is closing markets at 6 pm as a precautionary measure against the coronavirus while on the other hand, they are holding jalsas in Multan.

“Such is the extent of their hypocrisy that buses filled with people are being brought to Punjab to hold jalsas,” said Dr Firdous Awan.

Dr Firdous Awan said that the PDM was promoting a “friendly” environment for the coronavirus to spread.

Arrests over Violation

On the other hand, Information minister Punjab Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan has warned that the security officials will arrest the Jalsa participants if the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for curbing the spread of the coronavirus violated.

Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan said that PDM would not get anything from the public gathering. The provincial minister also demanded that the PDM leadership, including Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Maryam Nawaz, undergo a corona test.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had postponed all the meetings due to the spread of the Coronavirus but the PDM had shown irresponsibility.

Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan said that the condition of SOPs and Corona test is mandatory in the private ceremonies of the opposition but their attitude towards people is irresponsible.
