The terror bid was foiled on Tuesday after Bomb Disposal Squad defused a magnetic bomb from a vehicle parked near Bilawal House in Karachi.
According to the details, SSP Zubair Nazir said a 200-metre area was cordoned off and people evacuated as the BDS inspected the explosive-ridden vehicle.
Two unidentified men on a motorcycle planted a remote-controlled explosive device attached with a magnet on a vehicle parked in Clifton.
Sindh Police said it rescued two foreigners from inside the vehicle and moved them to an undisclosed location.
Police said the bomb was a remote-controlled magnetic device that had been attached to a moving vehicle and contained more than a kilogram of black explosives. The detonator in the device exploded with mild intensity but the device could not explode completely due to a technical glitch.
