Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League PML (N) Supremo Nawaz Sharif provided bribe to a UK firm for abandoning probe towards his overseas property.

According to the media reports, this claim was made by the Chief Executive Officer of firm Broadsheet saga, asset recovery firm of the United Kingdom.

Broadsheet CEO Kaveh Moussavi, in an interview, mentioned the corporate had flatly refused the deal provided by an individual claiming himself because the nephew of Nawaz Sharif, within the 12 months 2012, retorting that the Broadsheet didn’t negotiate with crooks.

He mentioned that, “the Sharif family has assets not only in the United Kingdom but across the globe,” including that the Sharif household required loads of rationalization about their assets of amassing these properties.

The CEO added that, “Nawaz Sharif was wrongly linking the decision in our favor with his own innocence.”

The CEO said Nawaz Sharif was behind the termination of the contract with Broadsheet which was investigating how hundreds of millions of dollars had been stolen from Pakistan and stashed abroad.

Moussavi in addition to this said that Broadsheet was tasked to detect the assets of 200 people. But, after his tenure, the NAB started asking to remove names of certain people from the list that was refused. “This was the hypocrisy of the then government of Pakistan,” Moussavi said.
