The Supreme Court of Pakistan has rejected the bail plea of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader Hamza Shahbaz in the money laundering case.

According to the details, a three-member SC bench comprising Justice Mushir Alam, Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Yahya Afridi heared the bail plea.

The court on Friday rejected the bail plea after Hamza Shahbaz withdrew his application.

Hamza Shahbaz had filed an application in the top court. During the case proceedings, Justice Sardar Tariq asked Hamza Shahbaz either to continue his plea or wish to withdraw it? No case has been filed in the High Court on the basis of hardship.

Justice Yahya Afridi said that ‘an argument which was not taken up in the High Court could not be taken up directly in the Supreme Court.’ He said that Justice Yahya Afridi advised that approaching High court is an appropriate step after accountability court report.

According to the anti-graft watch dog the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Fazal Dad Abbasi and Muhammad Shoaib Qamar allegedly aided, abetted and facilitated their co-accused including Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif etc by way of providing channel/services for laundering money by arranging false and fictitious entries of foreign remittances sent by various individuals to accused Hamza Shahbaz Shahirf, Suleman Shahbaz Sharif.
