The earthquake tremors were felt in different cities of the country including Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
According to reports, tremors were felt in different areas including Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Mardan around 10 pm on Friday.
The epicenter was reported at 6.4 on the Richter scale, according to the Meteorological Department.
The epicenter was reported below the Tajik border. According to the seismological center, the quake struck at a depth of 80 km.
So far no damage has been reported from the quake.
According to reports, tremors were also felt in Swat, North Waziristan and Bajaur, Jhelum, Multan, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Muzaffarabad and Mirpur Azad Kashmir.
The epicenter was reported below the ground, however; no tsunami alert was issued.
The epicenter was reported at a depth of 80 km, according to the US Geological Survey.

On the other hand, tremors have been felt in the northern parts of India, including the Indian capital New Delhi.
According to the Times of India, the tremors were felt in New Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab and other areas.
The magnitude of the earthquake in India was 6.1 on the Richter scale.
