Three animals of Lahore Zoo, white tiger, zebra and brown bear have become very thin and sick after reaching their natural age.

According to the Lahore Zoo administration, the skinny white tiger is 16 years old and its average age in the natural environment is 8 to 10 years, while in the safe environment of the zoo it increases to 15 years.

The administration says the white tiger is unable to walk due to blood disease.

According to the administration, the average age of a brown bear is 25 years and up to 30 years in a zoo. The brown bear that was brought to the zoo in 2005 has also become sick and weak.

The zoo’s management says that the natural age of the Burchell’s Zebra in the natural environment is up to 25 years and in zoos up to 16 years.

The zoo management has written a letter to the Punjab Wildlife Conservation Department seeking permission to put them down, while the Punjab Wildlife Conservation Department has convened a meeting of the zoo management committee next month.
