Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan for Political Relations, Dr Shahbaz Gill’s eye got infected after protestors, allegedly supporters and workers of the PML-N hurled eggs and ink on him on Monday (15th March) ahead of his appearance at the Lahore High Court (LHC).

According to the details, Shahbaz Gill was summoned by the Lahore High Court (LHC) on a petition challenging a criminal case registered by the Islampura police on his complaint.

As Gill reached, eggs and ink were thrown on his forehead and hand.

After the incident, the special assistant to PM spoke to reporters and termed the incident as “ghunda gardi” (thuggery), emphasising that he was “totally fine”.

“They are throwing the ink of their own black actions,” he said and promised that he will not take revenge upon them.

“We will not return 10 slaps in place of one. We will not curse in return for [their] curses.”

Later, Dr. Shahbaz Gill went to the Mayo Hospital for a checkup, where it was revealed that his left eye was infected by the ink.

As per the doctor, the ink’s chemical has infected Gill’s eye, however, the doctors have bandaged his eye after the treatment.
