Karachi-Lahore trains get delayed amid Rohri accident

Schedules of Karachi-Lahore trains have been disrupted after the Karachi express met an accident at Rohri.

As per the details, seven trains that are scheduled to reach Karachi and eight trains that are scheduled to reach Lahore have been delayed. However, Railway authorities say that train service between Karachi and Lahore has remained undisturbed.

Moreover, authorities say that the Lahore to Karachi train track has been restored but Karachi to Lahore train track will be reopened for trains after 10 hours.

The Shalimar Express departed from Karachi for Lahore at 6:00 am today whereas the Hazara Express departed from Karachi at 6:15 am. Apart from that, the Khyber Mall reached Karachi at 6:40 am today and Fareed Express also reached Karachi.

Karachi express train accident

One woman passenger died and 40 others injured as nine bogies of the Karachi express train derailed near Sangi railway on Sunday.

As per the details, nine bogies of Lahore-bound Karachi derailed as they faced an accident between Rohri and Panu Aqil.

The rescue team and Pakistan army soldiers have reached the scene. IG railways said the accident will be investigated to find out the cause.
