Micro-smart lockdown has been imposed in parts of Peshawar from Sunday (today).
The lockdown measures will be implemented from 7 pm today. Residents have been asked to follow precautionary measures. The entry and exit polls in the affected areas will remain closed.
The decision has been taken by local authorities to curb the spread of coronavirus. Medical stores, general stores, and naan shops will not be closed.
The decision comes after a complete lockdown has been enforced in the Mirpur district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) after a significant rise in coronavirus cases.
According to the order issued by the office of the deputy commissioner Mirpur, all educational institutions, public transport will remain closed and other religious, political, social and sports activities have also been banned.
