The Ministry of Defence demanded Rs. 33 crore from the government for the maintenance of VVIP aircraft used by the Prime Minister and the President of Pakistan.

At the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Defence sent a summary to the Economic Coordination Committee.

According to the summary Special planes used by PM Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi need annual repairs and also demanded a supplementary grant of Rs 33 crore for the repair of Gulf Stream G450 and G4.

In the current financial year, the Ministry of Defence will provide a technical supplementary grant of $2 million in Demand 17.

The Pakistan Air Force had asked for an additional budget of Rs. 33 crore for aircraft repairs in August 2020.

The Economic Co-ordination Committee will decide tomorrow on a supplementary grant for the repair of VVIP aircraft.
