Pakistan logs 3,239 fresh COVID cases, over 3,027 recoveries in 24 hours

The positivity rate of the coronavirus in the country has been between 6 and 8% for the last several days and during the last 24 hours, the positivity rate stands at 6.2%.

According to the official government portal, 51,982 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the country during the last 24 hours in which 3,239 were tested positive.

Another 70 people lost their lives from the pandemic in the country, bringing the total death toll to 24,783.

Similarly, 3,027 people recovered during this period, bringing the total number of people cured of the virus to 1,02,430.

The overall situation of coronavirus in different parts of the country is as follows:

Sindh

The number of confirmed cases of corona in Sindh has reached 417,439, while 6,556 people have died.

The number of active cases of pandemic in the province is the highest in the country at 47,734 while the number of healthy people has also reached the highest in the country at 363,149.

Punjab

In Punjab, the country’s largest province, cases of the virus are on the rise, with the number of victims reaching 377,208, while 11,447 people have died.

The number of active cases of corona here has reached 22,794 and so far 342,935 people have been cured of the pandemic.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The total number of people infected with the coronavirus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is 155,153 while 7,247 people have lost their lives.

The number of active cases of the pandemic in the province is 7,247 while 143,176 people have recovered.

Balochistan

The number of people infected with the virus in Balochistan has risen to 31,755, while 335 people have died.

There are 614 active cases of Corona and so far 30,806 people have been cured of the epidemic.

Islamabad

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the federal capital has reached 95,491, while 5,587 people have died.

The number of active cases in Islamabad is 5,587 while the number of recovered people has reached 89,062.

Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan

The number of confirmed cases in Azad Kashmir has reached 30,314 while the death toll has risen to 4,805.

Similarly, the number of corona patients in Gilgit-Baltistan has reached 9,526 while the number of deaths is 169.
