ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will inaugurate Metro Bus Service from Peshawar Morr to New Islamabad International Airport on Monday (today).

On the occasion, the prime minister will travel in the metro bus and also address the inaugural ceremony.

After assuming the office of Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif had directed for resumption of work on the project and its completion on priority basis.

The bus service will provide international standard travel facilities to thousands of passengers daily. Later, the Metro Bus Service will be extended to Rawat.

On April 14, the PM had regretted delay of four years in completion of Peshawar Morr to New Islamabad International Airport Metro Bus project.

He had made the remarks during a visit to the Metro Bus Service in Islamabad where he was briefed by the CDA and NHA officials about the project.

He had directed to constitute a committee for inquiry into the delay. He had said that Rs16 billion had already been spent on the project and delay in its completion was lamentable.

Shehbaz Sharif had said the metro bus service should have the facility for the passengers to carry luggage. He had also directed to establish a metro bus station on the motorway.
