ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said Friday that no negotiation with the government is possible and maintained that he called off the march to avoid blood-shed in the country.

PTI Chief said that he was aware of the upshots in case of continuing with the Azadi march and that was why he gave a deadline of 6-days to the government.

Imran Khan claimed that if he had opted for the sit-in then it would be a deadly crisis for the country.

He also said that a letter has been sent to the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) in regards to the protection of the democratic right to protest.

PTI chief underscored that he would never accept an “imported government” and would continue fighting for the real freedom of the country.

He also said that the next time PTI would call for the protest with complete preparation to tackle the situation.

Imran Khan while replying to a question maintained that he would not go for the negotiations until the government announces the date for the next general elections.

“I will give a call again for the march in case the “imported government” failed to announce the date of polls,” he said firmly.

While touching on the incidents that took place during the long march, Imran Khan said that the marchers weren’t allowed to use their democratic right to peacefully protest.

“What kind of democracy is this where marchers were shelled with tear gas, manhandled and women were dragged along roads during the protest,” he added,

Imran Khan also mourned the death of PTI workers who were killed during the Azadi march and deplored the police action against the women and children activists of PTI. “We weren’t expecting the cruelty shown by the government.”

While elucidating his stance regarding the cancellation of long march, he said that he did that only for the sake of Pakistan as the conditions had been pushing the country towards anarchy.

The former prime minister reiterated that the nation would never accept the ones out on bail to rule the state and claimed that he will fight for real freedom till his last breath.
