ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Monday said that former Prime Minister Imran Khan is building a false narrative about threats to his life after his foreign conspiracy narrative failed to get the public attention.

In a statement, the Interior Minister said that if the former prime minister has any concrete evidence of a possible threat, share it immediately with the interior ministry adding that the government is ready to conduct a full investigation into the matter.

Sana said that if Imran Niazi wanted, he could set up a Judicial Commission on the issue and the Judicial Commission could take an independent decision after reviewing the evidence and information provided by Imran Niazi.

He said that if Imran Niazi did not provide information about the threat to his life, then as an American conspiracy, this statement would be considered a political stunt.

He said it was “regrettable” that a former prime minister making false claims about threats. He advised Imran Niazi not to use his security issue as political propaganda, and that if he had evidence, he should share it with the government.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan said as there was a conspiracy to assassinate him, so he had recorded a video in which he had exposed the characters involved in the conspiracy against him.

“If anything happens to me, the video will be made public. In the video, I have given the names of those who are responsible for the conspiracy. They want to get Imran Khan killed,” Imran Khan said addressing a mammoth gathering in Sialkot.

He said he wanted the people to know who were behind the conspiracy as he had obtained knowledge about it.

“Conspiracy is being hatched inside and outside the country behind closed doors. Lest I get killed, I have recorded a video and kept it at a safe place in which I have mentioned names of every single person involved in the conspiracy since last summer,” he said.
