ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan on Sunday said police’s aggression on May 14 in Sialkot enraged people against the “imported government”.

In a tweet, Imran Khan thanked the people of Sialkot “for the amazing passion & commitment you showed”. He specially thanked the PTI leader Usman Dar and his team “who withstood Imported govt’s violence & made quick arrangements for the jalsa at an alternate site.

He said the “government of crooks”, fearing the massive public coming out, not only denied us a larger ground for our jalsa but also indulged in police vandalism, destroying our equipment and jalsa arrangements.

“As a result there were as many people outside our jalsagah as inside because of space shortage. This has only fuelled the anger of people against the imported government,” he said.
