ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leader and former federal minister for information Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Sunday said multiple FIRs were filed against PTI leaders on instructions of the Ministry of Interior. “Bring it on, we will fight,” he added.

A case was lodged against 150 people including PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Fawad Chaudhry, Shahbaz Gill, Sheikh Rashid and others at a Faisalabad police station, pertaining to raising slogans against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation at Masjid-e-Nabawi (SAWW) in Saudi Arabia.

In a tweet, Fawad Chaudhry said a series of FIRs had been started in different parts of the country against the leadership of the PTI.

“The long march has just been announced and you have panicked. But now you have to really panic as a sea of people is ready to carry you away,” he wrote.

PTI leader Salar Sultanzai ridiculed the FIR saying that they had lodged an FIR of the incident that took place in Saudi Arabia, while people could not file an FIR in an area adjacent to the crime scene as the SHO said it did not lie within his jurisdiction.

Lashing out at the prime minister, Senator Ejaz Chaudhary said, “Shame on you, crime minister. You have lodged an FIR against the man who is a guardian of honour of the Prophet, a lover of the Prophet (SAWW), the one who destroyed Islamophobia and preached ‘there’s no God, but Allah’.

According to the FIR, 150 people led by Sheikh Rashid Shafiq were sent to Saudi Arabia to conduct preplanned hooliganism. The lawsuit alleges that the incident took place under a premeditated conspiracy.
