ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) Senator Azam Khan Swati on Wednesday decided to approach the judicial magistrate after police refused to register a case.
He said that PTI leaders and activists are facing trouble while filing cases against the violence they faced during the long march.
Senator Azam Swati will appear before Civil Judge Inamullah Khan at Islamabad’s F8 area along with all the evidence. He will formally request to file the report against the minister and leader of Pakistan Muslim League N (PML-N) Rana Sanaullah under the Pakistan Penal Code.
Previously, Punjab Police resorted to teargas shelling at the PTI rally led by Dr Yasmin Rashid, reported Bol News. As per sources privy to the matter, police contingents deployed in the province were given instructions to fire teargas shells on PTI activists.
The PTI activists were instructed to gather at Lahore’s Bhatti chowk to proceed towards Islamabad for the march.
