ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday decided to put the prohibited funding case before the larger bench and adjourned the case till August 18, reported BOL News.

As per sources in the know, the court heard the case of funding case and Barristers Anwar Mansoor and Faisal Chaudhary appeared on behalf of the PTI.

The PTI’s counsel maintained that they have challenged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)’s fact-finding report adding that it was not necessary to disclose accounts for various reasons.

“The money went from here (Centre) to provincial accounts, which was not necessary to disclose,” the counsel added. The counsel also requested the court to suspend the show cause notice issued to the party.

Acting IHC chief justice Aamer Farooq said that the larger bench will hear the case while adjourning till August 18.

It is pertinent to mention here that the ECP declared the PTI’s funding prohibited and issued a show cause notice to PTI Chief Imran Khan over a false affidavit.

PTI challenged the ECP’s decision in Islamabad High Court and a petition was submitted against the decision demanding the suspension of the order that was released on August 2.
It also holds that the show-cause notice issued to Imran Khan should be suspended.
