Imran Khan, CM Punjab Elahi discuss PTI long march

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday met Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and discussed a range of issues including the upcoming long march.

The former minister arrived at the CM Secretariat in Lahore after a visit to Sialkot. During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual interest and the ongoing political situation.

They also discussed administrative matters in the province and the upcoming long march. The Punjab Ehsaas Ration Programme and the projects to provide relief to the people also came under discussion. The two leaders also expressed serious concern over the dismal economic situation of the country.

Imran Khan and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi demanded an impartial and transparent judicial investigation into the killing of veteran journalist Arshad Sharif.

They said the government should fulfill its responsibilities over the incident and expressed heartfelt condolences to the aggrieved family.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi said that the people of Pakistan are with Imran Khan. He said the long march will sweep away the imported government,

Elahi further said the federal government has been shaken even before the start of the march. He said Imran Khan is a ray of hope for the people of Pakistan and they will fully support the long march.

In the meeting, Imran Khan said that the government has failed on every front. He said the long march is a jihad for true freedom and the enthusiasm of the people shows that it will create a new history.
