ISLAMABAD: The Minister of Defence Khawaja Asif lauds Imran Khan for supporting the appointment of COAS and terms it a ‘good move’.

He was talking to the media outside the Parliament House when said that Imran Khan supported PM Shehbaz Sharif’s pick regarding the key appointments which is a welcoming move.

The minister also said that if Imran Khan keeps this attitude in politics then it will be the beginning of political stability and added that if politicians keep engaged in brawls then institutions will get a chance to intervene.

Khawaja Asif said that if the politicians follow the rules laid down by the state, then the establishment or the judiciary will not interfere.

He also said that Nawaz Sharif will come to Pakistan before the end of 2022.

While underscoring the government’s stance on the PTI march, he said that to protest peacefully is everyone’s right but if anyone tries to play with law and order then action will be taken. “The way of negotiation is always open in a democratic society.”
