RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League (AML) supremo Sheikh Rashid said that all the parties have welcomed the appointment of COAS and hoped that army chief will favour the nation and country.

He said that Rawalpindi has been standing with Imran Khan adding that the PTI chief has his support as well.

While conducting a press conference, the former minister said that the convoy under his lead will kick off from Lal Haveli tomorrow at 12.

He lauded the armed force for the decision to stay away from politics while shedding light on the sufferings of the common people.

“People are deprived of basic commodities and have no money for gas and electricity bills.”

Sheikh Rashid said that Imran Khan- with the help of the nation – can solve the problems of Pakistan, as the country is on the verge of default.

While putting the burden on immediate elections he said that to escape default the only option is elections.

While lauding the appointment of Lt. Gen Asim Munir as the new COAS, Rashid said that all the parties have welcomed the appointment.

While hopeful for the general elections to be carried out next April or May, he said that graves have been dug for the 13 PDM parties.
